A new web-based application has hit the iPhone, propertynearme finds places to buy or rent based on your geographic location. The app has found a place in the UK, after seeing major success with the website over here and in Europe. This is one of the first we-based apps to integrate the iPhones new “geo location” or “location aware” function.

If you like the look of a neighbourhood, switch on the app and it’ll scout out any available property in the area. What’s more, because the app is web-based, users won’t have the hassle of downloading the app.

Mobile developers Internetics are behind propertynearme, Internetics Director Clive France says: "The application is very easy to use and is a dream come true for property hunters. I was driving through an area a few months ago, liked it and thought wouldn't it be useful if I could simply click a button on my iPhone and see what property was for sale around me."

The application is also heading to Germany, Italy and Spain soon.
