Nokia is recalling millions of mobile phone chargers. It’s all down to faults with the safety covers, protecting users from electric shocks. The models in question are the AC-3E, AC-3U and AC-4U all were produced by their Chinese manufacturer, BYD.

During a routine quality control process Nokia noticed the faulty products. The mobile phone manufacturers are concerned that the chargers could come loose and separate, exposing the chargers internal components and potentially pose an electric shock hazard. The company has recommended users stop using the chargers immediately and head to a Nokia shop to get a free replacement.

“While we are not aware of any incidents or injuries relating to the affected chargers, as a precautionary measure we will exchange affected charger models free of charge” UK users should be fine, but check you’re charger. If you bought one overseas and are worried you can check your chargers with Nokia.
