Next year will see a huge investment in staff training and NVQ qualifications at Phones 4u. The company has already started major refurbishment of all its stores, now Phones 4u plan to invest more time and money into training and education schemes.
Phones 4u Chief Executive Tim Whiting said the company will focus on training as mobile phones have become far more complex. The NVQ scheme that was launched last year will continue to play a big role in staff learning. After positive feedback from participants, Phones 4u has decided to take the scheme to the next level “we will be investing much more in training and the NVQ qualifications - putting much more into the scheme than before… Handsets are becoming increasingly less like traditional mobile phones and more like mobile computers so it's important our staff can explain to customers what a much more complex mobile can do."
Whiting also assured people that despite the advanced store refits, Phones 4u will remain a mobile phone outlet, “Our focus will remain on offering mobile solutions. Although we will be providing additional services such as an extension to the prepay credit cards next year, we always concentrate on mobile as our number one priority."
