Better than iPhone
After being caught out on the iPhone bandwagon several times, it was time to see what others had to offer. The Windows platform is a very slick and fast OS system and is far less fussy than my old iPhone and is equal to Android. There are plenty of apps as I use the same ones on here as I did on my other phones. Sat nav is excellent, and the TomTom is in retirement.
Watch out iPhone...there is a bigger kid on the block!!!

Best Windows Phone
Just to start, this is what a smartphone should look like. I went with the white but would have loved a cyan had they released it over here!
The battery life is fantastic, best I have ever had on a smartphone. I take it off charge about 7.50am and back on at 11.50 - still has about 40% battery.
Screen is great, same size as my old phone but side by side the 900 wins. Great in the sunlight, games look better and everything has an extra zip with the slightly better processor.
Camera could be better - not very good in low light scenarios.
...and you can make calls on it!! My friends have commented how clear I am and I never drop calls now.
MS are announcing WP8 on 20th June so if you are concerned about the potential to upgrade I would wait until then to find out.

Sublime Phone
Having upgraded from a HTC HD7, I have to say the Nokia is better in every way. Having previously owned an IPhone 4 and the original IPhone, I have to say this phone is slick, easy to use, a marketplace that has now reached a decent level (100,000+) with most major apps covered. Nokia drive with offline maps worked a treat in the Balaerics. I will be sticking with Windows Phone for the foreseeable future and am more than happy I made the switch. Even the diehard Apple fans at my workplace are impressed with the design and polycarbonate casing. A truly lovely looking phone. Such a pleasure and stands out from the plethora of black plastic Android clones that have saturated the market.

great handset, bad apps
Great handset in terms if speed, battery life and reliability. However, the apps, both games and general apps are ok but not many at all. Very disappointing.
Camera is fantastic, much better than the iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy S2.
Only thing is the apps which is what not of us use on a daily basis.

Nokia back on form!
I've been a fan of Windows Phone 7.5 for a while now and this is an excellent implementation... and really turns heads, to boot! :-)
I've been asked several times now in cafe's/bars as to what the phone is - and even once in the street! I was a little unsure as whether to go with the white version or the cyan, but once you get this beauty in your hand, it's a no-brainer. The gloss white is really striking. As is the uber crisp and clear AMOLED display. Whilst Apple make much of their Retina display, side-by-side with my Nokia, the Lumia is MUCH clearer in bright conditions. I've read several reviews that suggest that the battery life is not good. I have no idea which version they were reviewing but my Lumia way outlasts my old Samsung Galaxy S II by easily 50% . I recharge it every night but if I'm travelling, it lasts 48hours of my "normal" use no probs. Apps wise, WP Marketplace has everything that I need for my day-to-day use and the Lumia comes with a number of exclusive Nokia Apps already installed. Nokia-Drive is brilliant - better than my Pioneer SatNav. Nokia-Music allows me to stream music FOC and there are others. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. Go look at this as a viable alternative to the Android clones.

Great phone for those that need more of an organizer.
I myself was a previous android fanatic until I found myself not using many of the features that android had to offer. I needed a more simplified phone that provided what I needed then and there: the windows live tiles do exactly just that. Any scheduled appointments come to life on the main start up screen and are small reminders that something is pending. I also love the speed of the phone! Every action runs extremely smooth and there is no way to get "lost" with all the pin start options that one can have. Great buy and totally worth the wait.

Fantastic phone. A real head turner. This is THE social media phone. Facebook and Twitter 'baked' right into your contacts (called the people hub in wp7) folder so you can get all your friends and business contacts social updates. I have added Heathrow airport into my contacts then linked the contact to their Twitter account so I can get updates all in one place!! Facebook chat is also integrated right into your messaging hub so you don't have to open a separate app. Apps are really coming on. With iPlayer and Sky+ and Go confirmed to be coming v soon. The browser on the phone is brilliant. I could go on all day about how freakin awesome this phone is but I would suggest you just GET it!!!! Nokia have built a solid great looking phone and windows phone 7 just makes this even better. Highly recommended.

Clean, tidy and fast; both, the phone and OS
I've been big fan of windows phone since it was launched. I had HTC trophy then HTC HD7 and recently purchased Titan. I didn't go for lumia 800 coz it small and I'm used to big screens.
This phone is fast. Even though this phone has 1.4 GHz processor, it is actually faster than my old faithful Titan which has 1.5 GHz processor.
The camera is average so I will use this phone till PureView come onto Nokia windows phone.
So, this phones is simple and tidy. Speakers are great.
Thank you Nokia for not adopting Android.

Hi there, you can't ... but you can "upgrade" or (open another line - with O2).Ring Phones4U ask them to pre-order the Lumia 900 they will take you through it.
I am 3 months away from my O2 contract being renewed, so I couldn't upgrade, but the sales assistant told me that I could open another line with O2. So I did, which means I have two bills from O2 for the next couple of months ... but I got the free Nokia Play 360 wireless speaker (worth £120) and 50 cash back for £36 per month - Unlimited Calls, texts and 1GB of Data !
