Terrible. In my opinion, this phone is the worst one I've ever had! Firstly, I've had it replace 3 times, because it simply stopped working. Once it wouldn't turn on for 2 weeks, so I had to get it sent off. Bare in mind I've only had this phone coming up 6 months. The camera is terrible, when you take a photo with the flash on, it doesn't focus. The phone randomly restarts, and it freezes quite a lot of the time. When listening to music, it either plays them really quietly, or it doesn't go onto the next song when you have shuffle on. The sound quality is absolutely shocking, it is annoyingly quiet. Text messages don't come through until an hour after sent, and you rarely ever get notified when you receive a text, tweet or facebook message. This phone is shockingly bad, I'm not quite sure that it was ready to be released yet. The functions are ancient. 22 February 2013
Excellent phone but not so good battery life :( The phone is great and I don't see what the other reviews are talking about. I have owned it for over a month and used it non stop. The touch screen responsiveness was quite bad in the first 2 days for some reason but as soon as I took of the screen protector which came on the phone and gave the phone a good wipe with a damp cloth the touch screen responsiveness was perfect. The internet in this phone is really fast and is faster then other phones when compared on the same network and at the same location. I don't experience any lag but the ram is a little low for me( a heavy user). The battery life isnt good on this phone. I have to charge it in the morning and at about 8 at night with medium-high usage. Its an excellent phone! 18 January 2013
not good. dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead deadest mobile handset ever created.i do not recommend it to no one and i mean it. 12 December 2012
Ok don't know if I would recommend Crashes at least once a day and the battery is terrible, apart from that it's fine, have a lot of trouble with the Internet as well? Don't think that I would recommend it really .I just needed a new phone as my Sony Expedia had a smashed screen 17 September 2012
A great phone! I dont understand why there are so many bad reviews! Ive had so many different phones and I am very pleased with this! The screen is great, the phone is fast. I do find at times the screen is a little unresponsive but its not enough for me to complain about. The design is great and reminds me of my old samsung galaxy 1 which I loved! The camera is great, and so far Ive got no complaints about my battery life! I have been using this phone heavily and the battery has last me more than a day- plenty. If there are problems with the battery ill just buy a better one! 15 September 2012
Terrible piece of kit I went in looking to replace my old HTC Legend with something with more memory. This has it. However: -signal drops out constantly in mid call, and on every other call I experience a loud buzzing noise. -no manual, online or in box. Difficult to use. -nearly impossible to connect simply to PC as a removable disk drive -unresponsive screen -generally a bit rubbish. Going to go back and replace it with something else like the Galaxy tomorrow. 12 September 2012
Rushed out with no information on line and clunky. Very dissappointed; poor touchscreen, no written info on use, no online info on use. For a first time smartphone user (me) useless! Changed for a Galaxy s3 which has proved easy and efficient. 02 September 2012
Grand x is a winner. Got this phone and all I can say is wow. Very well made fast responsive powerful and running ice cream sandwich version of android. You get a 1 ghz dual core prossesor with dolby sound so it's great for playing the latest games and movies. It has coped with the most graphically intensive games available and hasn't even broke a sweat. Things like front facing camera for Skype calls, expandable storage,hd video recording and playback, high res screen, dnla support etc are just a few of the features on this phone with many more pleasant suprises to explore Comparable priced phones don't offer what the grand x does so if your on the Market for a new phone check this out you won't be disappointed. An amazingly powerful phone for less than £200. Similarly specced phones from other manufacturers charge more than double this price so you'd be silly to spend more as this ticks all the boxes. Zte is a huge mobile phone company that is currently the 4th biggest in the world so you can trust they know what there doing and with the grand x it shows :) Highly Recommended!!! A+++++ 19 August 2012
Not as good as it seems The Grand X is, on the face of it, a good phone. But looks can be deceiving. The main problem with this phone is the screen. It appears, from the 'blurb' to be aimed as people who play games on their phones and I suspect that group would be disappointed. The screen can be, most of the time, sluggish in response. You may have to touch an application or widget shortcut multiple times before the appropriate action will happen. Not being a game player I cannot speak from experience but this would translate into utter frustration should you be playing something that needs immediate response. In addition the screen is nearly unusable in anything more than dull daylight and is virtually invisible in strong sunlight. 13 August 2012

Pre-purchase enquiry: I cannot find the answer anywhere.
If it does not support Flash on its own I can live with it, I think.
I hope to also use the ZTE Grand X as the broadband modem for my PC. Does any Flash-limitation affect just its own functions [i.e. Flash cannot run on the device itself] or would my tethered PC suffer from the limitation [i.e. I need to use a broadband modem that supports Flash]?
[The ZTE Skate that I came to this site looking for does not support Flash so that's why I am conscious of the topic while choosing my smartphone].
